If you're picking a Friday night game, No. 4 Oswego (9-1) hosts No. 13 Naperville North (8-2) in the second round. Oswego got running back Ammar Banire back last week, and he ran for 118 yards and two touchdowns in the first half against Naperville Central.

Daily Herald notes the Huskies lost to New Trier and East St. Louis in the regular season, and quarterback Dante Colasante has thrown for 1,303 yards and 12 touchdowns. A win for Oswego could set up a quarterfinal rematch with Bolingbrook, the only team to beat the Panthers this season.

  • Last year: Oswego won the first-round meeting 17-7
  • Naperville North's eighth win was its most in a decade
  • Next: winner plays No. 21 Lyons at No. 5 Bolingbrook winner
  • Sandwich at Hope Academy: 2 p.m. Saturday, Class 3A
