- ➤ Sam's Club announced it will extend its store hours to 8 p.m. daily for all members starting Oct. 12—changing from previous 6 p.m. closings. The updated hours will be in effect across all locations, allowing members to shop later. NBC Chicago
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Metra announced a planned fare increase of 13—15% for commuters starting next year as part of a $1.1 billion budget designed to cover a funding gap from reduced COVID funds. The increase will raise one-way fares in inner zones—such as from $3.75 to $4.25—and public hearings on the proposal will be held in November. NBC Chicago
