- ➤ Aurora police said an officer rescued Oakley — a four-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier — from a burning home on Whitehall Court last week, and the department shared video of the rescue. ABC7

- ➤ ToysRUs will open a 13,000-square-foot store at Chicago Premium Outlets in Aurora on Sept. 20 at 10 a.m.—the new location will host holiday celebrations with mascot Geoffrey the Giraffe, face painting, balloon twisting, and giveaways for early shoppers. NBC Chicago
- ➤ Costco is recalling bottles of its Kirkland Signature Prosecco Valdobbiadene sold across 12 states between April 25 and Aug. 26, 2025—unopened bottles could shatter spontaneously even when not in use.
