- ➤ On Monday night, East Aurora school board member Mayra Reyes apologized for racially insensitive remarks made a year ago during a closed meeting—community leaders demanded her resignation and called for changes to create a more inclusive district. The board and superintendent agreed to hold further discussions with local leaders while Reyes did not indicate she would resign. ABC7

- ➤ Kane County Clerk John Cunningham urges residents to register to vote today during National Voter Registration Month as the county prepares for upcoming elections—March 17 general primary and Nov. 3 general elections—with in-person, mail, and online options available.
