  • 93 Octane Brewery in St. Charles is hosting a charity campaign during National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month to support Cal’s Angels—a nonprofit that grants wishes and funds pediatric cancer research. The brewery will offer a Golden Pour Purpose hoppy golden ale and donate 50% of its proceeds this month.  Kane County Chronicle
  • Kane County’s top five stories for Aug. 31—Sept. 6 are available as on-demand audio from Shaw Local, and one story covers a Sept. 4 meeting at Lord of Life Church where a large crowd discussed annexing nearly 1,000 acres in Campton Hills for a housing development.  Kane County Chronicle

  • Aurora antique furniture store Warehouse 55 will move to the former Hearth & Hammer storefront in downtown Batavia next month after six years in Aurora. The closing sale at 55 S.
