Kane County health officials held an Aug.
26 online training to teach residents how to recognize opioid overdoses and properly use naloxone; the training noted that naloxone reversed overdoses in 95 county residents in 2023. More than half of the doses were given at home (54%), highlighting the need to keep two-dose kits available in homes and cars.
