Illinois state epidemiologist Dr. Brian Borah said the state’s vaccine recommendations remain unchanged as the president signed an order to revamp childhood vaccine suggestions to give parents more choices+immunization rates are high even as exemption requests rise while IDPH explores ways to address vaccine hesitancy.
Kane County health officials said that an unvaccinated person diagnosed with measles exposed students at Kaneland High School on Aug.
18 and patients at Next Generation Pediatric Clinic on Aug. 21 — residents who visited these sites should verify their vaccination status and quarantine if unprotected for up to 21 days.
