The Kane County Continuum of Care reported that 1,718 people experienced homelessness in 2024, including seniors, people with disabilities, families affected by domestic violence and children—underscoring an urgent need for affordable housing.
The study showed that the affordable unit vacancy rate was only 1% and it called for enhanced support services and housing options.
