Tens of thousands of ComEd customers lost power Thursday as severe thunderstorms brought heavy rain and damaging winds to the Chicago area — outage figures show 26,574 affected in Cook County, 11,524 in DuPage, 6,370 in Will, 2,570 in Kane, and 1,276 in Kendall counties, while over 3,000 NIPSCO customers in northwest Indiana also remain without power.

Jewel Osco recalled tuna salad sold from July 16th to 19th after its supplier said contaminated breadcrumbs may carry listeria.

Shoppers are urged to discard the product or return it and clean surfaces that contacted it—no injuries have been reported.
