A Mexican band that performed in Aurora saw its van crash on July 12 in McHenry and hurt nine people—seven were released on July 15 while two remain in the hospital and need surgery—and is raising money for care and work gear with a benefit concert held on July 18 at Hacienda Chivolin in Greendale.

Aurora's Stolp Island Theatre marked one year of its 'Million Dollar Quartet' revival that opened on July 19th and played to near-capacity audiences with veteran actors who bring the 1956 Sun Studios jam session to life.

Bill Scott Sheets (who plays Johnny Cash) praised the cast for their skill and camaraderie as the show is extended through January.
