The Voluntary Action Center of Northern Illinois received a $50,000 grant from the Dunham Foundation to support its Kendall Area Transit program—providing at least 500 additional rides to residents of DeKalb, Kane and Kendall counties.

The funding will help residents access key services—healthcare, employment and grocery stores.

Aurora will have fireworks at 9 p.m. on July 3—best viewed from the Aurora Transportation Center or McCullough Park—and a parade will start Friday, July 4 at 10 a.m. in Downtown Aurora from the intersection of Benton Street and Broadway Street.
