- ➤ Loaves & Fishes Community Services will host its annual Night to End Hunger gala on Friday, Sept. 12 from 6:30 to 11 p.m. at Hotel Arista in Naperville—tickets are $375 and funds raised will support food and programs for thousands of families facing food insecurity. Daily Herald
- ➤ Many fireworks displays are planned for Independence Day in the region with shows beginning June 28 and continuing through July 13 at parks and community venues. - ➤ The Kane County Liquor Commission denied Blackjack’s Gentlemen’s Club’s liquor license request on Wednesday after a 2—2 tie vote left the application unapproved.
