Gov. Pritzker signed new budget bills earlier this month that will change taxes on sports betting, vacation rentals, and tobacco—sports bets will incur a $0.25-per-wager fee on the first 20 million wagers before the rate doubles and tobacco is taxed at 45%—with the changes set to take effect July 1.
