Nearly a dozen fire agencies in Kane County received state grants to purchase firefighting and ambulance equipment ranging from $17,670 to $26,000 as part of a $6 million program by the Illinois State Fire Marshal’s Office to 260 departments statewide; Gov. Pritzker said the funding supports first responders in keeping communities safe.
