A salmonella outbreak linked to eggs sold in Illinois and eight other states left 79 people sick and 21 hospitalized.
The recall announced Friday by August Egg Company includes organic, cage-free brown and omega-3 eggs with plant code numbers P-6562 or CA5330 printed on the carton.

Nick Lambert earned a complete-game shutout as Waubonsie Valley defeated Downers Grove North 5-0 in the Class 4A Sectional Final on June 7 in Lockport.
The Warriors avenged last year’s loss and will face Normal Community in Monday’s 6 p.m. supersectional at Illinois Wesleyan—timely hitting and strong defense helped secure the win.
