Governor JB Pritzker said he plans to sign Senate Bill 2427 banning cellphone use during school hours for K-12 students — with exceptions for health and individualized education needs.
The law requires a 'bell-to-bell' policy and a model guideline from the State Board of Education by Sept. 1.
