- ➤ David Farber, an 86-year-old Montgomery man, died along with his dog in a house fire at the 30 block of Fernwood Road in unincorporated Oswego Township early Sunday as deputies and firefighters responded before 6:30 a.m. and the investigation remains active. Kane County Chronicle

- ➤ ComEd announced that starting in June, local bills will increase by about $10 due to a flawed PJM auction that raised capacity prices—Chicago Attorney General Kwame Raoul and the Citizens Utility Board are asking for fairer rules to protect consumers. NBC Chicago

- ➤ Dr. Adrian Talley, superintendent of Indian Prairie School District 204, was named the 2025 DuPage Educator of the Year by the DuPage Regional Office of Education—he led efforts to expand mental health services and secure over $2 million in grant funding for in-school clinics.
