🌲 Environment
Forest preserves are reminding riders that e-bikes must follow safety rules and lower speeds, as Lake County trails limit them to 20 mph—duPage and neighboring agencies are sharing guidelines through handouts and signs during National Bike Month.
This effort aims to help riders understand which bikes are allowed and to encourage safe, courteous trail use.
🏈 Sports
Marmion baseball took off (with a seven-run first inning) and beat Montini 11-1 Tuesday in a Chicago Catholic League game in Lombard.
The win moves the Cadets into at least sole second place (7-1) and they will face St. Francis Thursday in a two-game divisional set at Regole Park in Aurora.
Aurora Central Catholic won three games on Tuesday as its baseball, softball and girls soccer teams beat local rivals with key plays from Brodie Curry and Addison McCarthy.
St. Francis extended its baseball winning streak to 14 games as James McGrath and Colt Armbrust drove runs to secure a win of 12 to 2 over De La Salle.
