A resident was rescued from a house fire on the 1100 block of Garfield Avenue on Monday morning in Aurora when he jumped through a window and climbed onto a roof at about 11:40 a.m.; firefighters rescued him, examined him for smoke exposure, and the home was declared uninhabitable with its other residents staying with relatives.
