This weekend, Aurora’s Copley Theatre will host comedians Vince Maranto, Steven Haas and host Tim Benker at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 18 while nearby Geneva celebrates Earth Day at Peck Farm Park from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Other acts are scheduled in Batavia, Geneva and St. Charles.)

The Kane County Sheriff's Office is partnering with state police and local law enforcement in April (Distracted Driving Awareness Month) to monitor drivers who use their phones for texting, posting or viewing videos.

Officers will ticket those using devices while driving to keep roads safer in Kane County.
