Aurora University held its Day of Generosity fundraiser on April 3 with a free event in the Crimi Auditorium where 11 female musicians from the Mariachi Divas de Cindy Shea played Latin American tunes—this performance launched a week of pop-up events aimed at boosting student scholarships and campus improvements.

Aurora’s new DMV+ facility opened Monday afternoon and offers specialized services such as expedited business filings, walk-in document certification and on-site personal assistance in a 10,000-square-foot space that replaced the old DMV at 339 E.

Indian Trail. The center also will conduct informal hearings for certain driving privilege cases and provide public-use computers for job assistance.
