- ➤ Residents need a Real ID to board domestic flights starting in less than one month, and Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias said most do not need one before May 7 if they are not traveling soon. The update costs ($30) and can be obtained at a DMV or at the Real ID Supercenter (191 N. Clark St.), and the office will offer extra Real ID Saturdays until the end of May. NBC Chicago
