Voters in DuPage and Kane counties will elect mayors and village presidents on Tuesday; in Aurora, Mayor Richard Irvin will seek a third term as he faces challenger John Laesch, with both men debating plans to boost downtown growth such as a 4,000-seat City of Lights Center+ races in West Chicago, Geneva, St. Charles and Batavia offer different visions for local development. Nelson Wendell scored his fourth run on a passed ball in the bottom of the eighth to give Geneva a 6-5 walk-off win and mark their fifth win of the week — a key moment in Saturday’s games.
