- ➤ CASA Kane County will host its annual Hands Around the Courthouse on April 10 at noon at the historic courthouse at 100 S. Third St. in Geneva as part of National Child Abuse Prevention Month+ community leaders including Chief Judge Robert Villa and State’s Attorney Jamie Mosser will speak to raise awareness and support for nearly 700 children each year. - ➤ Voters in suburban Kane County will decide on several measures on April 1 that include a $140.3 million borrowing proposal for school construction in Kaneland Unit District 302, a sales tax for public safety funding, a $15 million library project in Pingree Grove, a $17.2 million plan for open space and cemetery improvements, and a 56% increase in the Kaneville Fire Protection District tax levy—each proposal affecting local schools and community services.
