  • Free Cone Day will return on March 20 at Dairy Queen, where customers can get one free small vanilla soft-serve cone with the iconic DQ curl—delivery and mobile orders are not included. The event will also hold a sweepstakes for a chance to win free cones for a year—winners are chosen by signing up through the DQ app.  NBC Chicago

SPORTS NEWS

  • Tyreek Coleman led the Warriors to a record-breaking 31—3 season where he averaged 20.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.3 steals and was named captain of the DuPage County All-Area boys basketball team for 2024—25. Coach Andrew Schweitzer said Coleman became a local celebrity on the court and he will play for Illinois State next season.  Daily Herald
  • Yesterday, local teams started spring sports with wins in softball, girls soccer and baseball. St. Charles East won 7 to 1 with key home runs, St. Charles North kept a 3 to 0 shutout with a freshman scoring twice, and St. Francis beat West Chicago 11 to 4—other Kane County teams had mixed results.  Kane County Chronicle
