About this event
Thanks in advance for signing up to volunteer with us at Quarry Care!
We’re so glad you’re joining the crew. These monthly workdays are a great way to get outside, meet awesome people, and help restore the natural beauty of the Heritage Quarries Recreation Area. Whether we’re pulling invasive plants, cleaning up trash, or giving native species a fighting chance, your efforts make a real difference.
Here’s what to expect:
We’ll kick things off at 9:00 am and wrap up around noon. If you can stay the whole time, fantastic! If you can only pop in for part of it, that’s great too. We’re happy to have you for whatever time you can give. A few days before the event, we’ll email you all the specifics: where to meet, what we’ll be working on, and any other helpful tips to make your day a success.
What to bring:
Safety first! Please make sure you show up with:
• Safety goggles (to protect those lovely eyes)
• Reinforced work gloves (your hands will thank you)
• Weather-appropriate clothing (layers are your friend!)
We’ll have some extra supplies on hand just in case, but coming prepared ensures we can hit the ground running.
Bringing kids?
We love getting young conservationists involved! Just note that children under 14 must be accompanied by a chaperone.
Let’s roll up our sleeves and do some good—we can’t wait to see you out there!
