About this event
Elgin Green Expo’s theme is The Great Fox Reimagined— highlighting the vital evolution of the Fox River from a historically overworked industrial channel into a protected, thriving lifeline for the Elgin community. The theme emphasizes our shared responsibility to safeguard the river as an essential source of local drinking water and a sustainable return site for clean, treated wastewater. Ultimately, it invites residents to envision a restored ecosystem where improved water quality enhances recreation, unlocks safe riverfront access, and protects vital wildlife habitats for generations to come.
