The Kane County Health Department will host its 'Fall for IRIS: 5 Years of Connection and Care' event on Sept. 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Geneva Public Library to celebrate its secure referral system that has processed 13,195 referrals β€” linking 3,900 residents with essential services.

The city of Aurora will host its fall electronics recycling drive-thru event on Sept. 6 at Metra Route 59 Train Station (1090 N. Illinois Route 59) from 8 a.m. to noon, where residents can bring up to two screens with proof of ID. Registration is required for the 2,000-participant limit as the event aims to help residents safely dispose of old electronics and protect the environment.
